The United Pharmacist Network, Inc. was formed in 1995 in response to the California State Department of Health Services' desire to transition over 1.2 million Medi-Cal lives in Los Angeles County into Medi-Cal managed Care. UPNI's goal at that time and true today is to ensure that the interests and concerns of the Independent Community Pharmacy are well represented. Today UPNI has member pharmacies throughout Southern California in the Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and San Bernardino Counties.
