Pace Alliance is the only Independent Retail Pharmacy Buying Group in the country that is owned by State Pharmacy Associations or Service Corporations. Pace Alliance was started in 1985 with the mission: (1) to save Independent Pharmacies money on their pharmaceutical purchases and (2) to generate revenue for the owner State Pharmacy Organizations for their use in promoting Independent Pharmacy. Pace Alliance has a membership of 1,600 member pharmacies in 19 states.
