American Associated Pharmacies is a cooperative created in 2009 when Associated Pharmacies, Inc. and United Drugs combined organizations to create a more competitive advocate for independent retail pharmacies. American Associated Pharmacies provides warehousing, PBM, vendor contracting and many other business services to about 2,000 pharmacies located in over 45 states with the singular mission of improving profitability for independent pharmacies to enable them to more effectively compete in the retail pharmacy marketplace. To that end, profits generated by the cooperative are passed along to our member pharmacies.

The cooperative’s board of directors is made up of owners elected by the membership. We have corporate offices located in Phoenix, Arizona and Scottsboro, Alabama.

Associated Pharmacies, Inc.
Associated Pharmacies, Inc. was founded in 1987 to supply pharmaceutical and health and beauty aid items to independently owned pharmacies throughout the United States at discounted, volume prices. Functioning as a warehousing and distribution organization fulfilling “warehousing chain” opportunities not readily available to independent pharmacies, Associated Pharmacies has grown from 8 founding members to over 900.

United Drugs
United Drugs is a pharmacy cooperative founded by independent pharmacists in 1976 with one simple mission: to increase the profitability of our members. Currently, we have over 1000 participating pharmacies, in more than 30 states, looking to the cooperative to provide many of their business needs including industry leadership, key relationships and group contracting with vendors and third party plans.
