Since 1984, IPC has evolved into the nations’ largest group purchasing organization for independent pharmacies. IPC negotiates over $7 billion dollars worth of contracted programs for its over 3200 member stores working in partnership with McKesson.  In addition, IPC provides distribution purchasing services for over 2500 affiliate customers.  IPC provides the most progressive and effective programs and services to put profit back in the independent pharmacy.

IPC members are owners of the cooperative and share in the cooperative's annual operating profits. They directly influence the decision making process by electing member peers to serve on the Board of Directors.
